Greetings. I am In Gong, Representative of Maehwa Nuri. I entered the monastic life at a young age, formed a deep bond with the Buddha, and have lived my entire life as a practitioner. Throughout this long journey of practice, there is a single truth that has taken root deep within my heart: "My religion is kindness, my philosophy is respect, and my Dharma hall is my own heart." Following this teaching, I have always contemplated the silent practice of offering warm kindness without turning a blind eye to the suffering of the world. I found the answer to the koan, "How can I share this immense grace received from the Buddha with the world?" in our children, who have lost even the opportunity to learn amidst a cold reality. Warmly embracing these children and opening the path to learning is more than mere relief work; it is the most sacred Buddhist deed performed within the Dharma hall of my heart. Just as I found peace in the embrace of the Buddha, Maehwa Nuri now aspires to become a warm embrace for the most marginalized children in the world.
